The United States presidential alternative of 1912 was contested between quartette candidates; Incumbent republican William Howard Taft, Woodrow Wilson a democrat, former professorship Theodore Roosevelt running play for the new Progressive troupe, and Eugene V. The nomination for nonappointive Party was extremely competitive. After a long tie-up Democratic candidate William Jennings Bryan threw his apply behind Woodrow Wilson in gear up to whacking Missouri Representative Champ Clark. Woodrow Wilson, former President of Princeton University and regulator of New Jersey, won the Democratic nomination after support for Clark faded.
